Morph Transfer to Clothing for Export

Hi there, I am going to be using Gen 3 models in Unreal 4. I have made a shirt for my character, and imported it into DAZ. What I need to do, is transfer all the morphs from base Gen 3 to the clothing, including all corrective morphs, so that I can then export the clothing into blender, keeping all of the morphs. I have tried the transfer utility, but it only grabs a couple of morphs like the thigh rotate etc. I need a way to transfer all of them, so they can be exported along with the clothing item. Any ideas? Thanks :)

  • By default transfer utility won't transfer any moprhs - you are probably seeing the thigh JCMs and others from applying a non-zero pose to the figure, so that AutoFollow projects them. The Transfer Utility does have an option to project morphs, however, which you coudl try checking - though I suspect the result will be somewhat unwieldy for use in Unreal

  • So I played with it some more. If I run the transfer utility, and then pose my character using all the sliders, it will send over the morphs relevant to the mesh. I then just reset the pose to 0 and export. I will check to see if it can auto project the morphs, as playing with all the sliders for each clothing item will be a pain. The only thing I really need are the JCMs as in Unreal I have them set up to dynamically trigger based on bone angles. I am using dual quat skinning in UE4 to preserve volume, so the corrective morphs are needed. Thanks for the info :)
