clear unused textures

Any way to clear the huge list of unused textures in surfaces tab?

I usually just save the scene and then reopen it.

I thought the "purge memory" script took care of that...

Unfortunately, this link doesn't appear to be working.. I'm hoping this thread is the thread I too am looking for as the links in the 2018 post/thread also do not appear to work..
