Anybody know how to switch back to the old timeline?

I can't figure out how, but there are things I did with that and I can't figure out how to do them the same way with this new one, and I just want to use what I'm used to.

  • I agree, the new timeline doesn't agree with me,  I like the old timeline more.  I, too, am wondering how to switch back to the old timeline.

  • Boy, I really hope I have saved an .exe file of the 4.11 version.  I think that one seemes to be more user-friendly to me.

  • You can collapse the dopesheet and graph panels with the little widget in the separator bar.

  • Hmm... maybe I don't fully understand just how to use it, then, because even doing so I can't get it to place keys on every node that I want to at once...

Ok, thank you for your response!  Further learning on my part is surely required!  :)

  • If you look at the option menu for the Timeline (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) there is a sub-menu for Key Creation Scope. Courtesy of Rob, here are what the options mean - Node would, I think, match the old behaviour.

    • Set Create Key Scope to "Object" to create keys (at the current time - indicated by the position of the playhead) on every listed property, on every node of the selected object.
    • Set Create Key Scope to "Node Recursive" to create keys (at the current time - indicated by the position of the playhead) on every listed property, on every selected node, recursively through all of their respective children.
    • Set Create Key Scope to "Node" to create keys (at the current time - indicated by the position of the playhead) on every listed property, on every selected node.
    • Set Create Key Scope to "Properties" to create keys (at the current time - indicated by the position of the playhead) on every selected property.
