Can't load RSSY converters

I've spent quite a bit of money on the lovely converters from RSSY. It's been nice to use old clothes on new models. Lots of great stuff in the back catalog, usually for cheap.
I ran into a problem a while back, but found a workaround. Basically the converters couldn't find any files when I pointed it at my "Library" file. I just would use DIM to instal what I wanted to convert to a different folder, convert it, and then uninstall it from that folder. Pretty straightforward.
Now the converters don't work at all. I get an error.
I tried to run them on a different computer. Same error.
Uninstalling Daz completely to refresh things is a real PITA. Maybe they've finally fixed it, but Daz Studio leaves behind all kinds of stuff when you uninstall it. I've even reinstalled my whole system in the past just to make sure I've got a "Clean" install. So I am loathe to go this route. I would love to just say "I reinstalled the program and now everything works again!" but it isn't that simple. Hunting down the registry keys and hidden ini files... There's a reason I'm needing a couple different workaround right now that ought to be solved completely by a reinstall.
I was hoping upgrading to 4.12 would solve the issue magically. But it hasn't and now I'm here.
I've tried uninstalling the file, restarting the computer, then reinstalling the file. I've tried installing through both DIM and Daz Connect. These damn things WERE working before.
I'm starting work on a digital comic and I really need to get all my assets working. There's so many great clothing items that don't exist as Genesis 8 assets. Sure, auto-follow can handle a lot of things. But NOT everything. The converters solve many problems. I wish they would just roll them into the main DAZ software already.
The following is the error given in the log file. Again, these USED to work and I've not moved anything since then.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Uninstalling an application should nto remove settings - that is standard, and geneally desirable, behaviour. What you want is a way to restore defaults - many places in DS do allow you to do that.
As for the error, "Can't find variable: Î" looks to me like a corrupt file, so DS can't decrypt it correctly. Had you uninstalled the Connect version before isntalling and trying the DIM version? If not DS would still have used the Connect install. Were the thumbnails showing for the script in the content pane?
I uninstalled it through connect before trying DIM. Uninstalled the DIM version when it didn't even show up in my library.
Keeping "settings" when you uninstal is situationally desirable. There should still be an option to DELETE all settings in the uninstaller. I've been a PC tech for many years. This is standard practice on almost all programs, and those that don't usually just delete it by default. I've read through many forum posts that complain about this, so please. Don't feed me that line. As I've said. I love Daz 3d, despite its flaws. I'll continue to use it, and continue to purchase assets through the store. Right now I need a solution to my problem. Believe me, I've been trying to solve it on my own, using years of experience and training, to no avail. I've had these and other scripts work and not work intermittently with absolutely no indication as to what is affecting it. I've been back and forth with Customer support until they fell silent and marked the matter "resolved." Which is wasn't. Clearly.
As for restoring defaults. This I have done, to zero effect. I can only assume something deep in the program code is corrupted. Something that remains in an uninstall. I can't run other scripts as well, as I learned last night trying to get some toe socks to work. I've hunted through several pages on the preferences and hit every one of the "restore defaults" I could find. This should have resulted in the program no longer seeing the install folder for the content, since its installed on a separte hard drive. (2000+ assets.) Yet, everything remained where it was, the path was still set in preferences.
So if the "restore defaults" button doesn't solve what is clearly a program error, then the next step would be to uninstall the program completely. ONLY I CAN'T WITHOUT REINSTALLING WINDOWS AS WELL. If this is "desirable" behavior to you, then you must have never encountered any serious errors in your install.
Not meaning to be hostile. I'm just super frustrated. I've put a lot of time and money into this and I'm getting nowhere.
The PA usually has a thread for new products, in the PA Commercial forum. For example https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/314926/released-rssy-hair-converter-from-genesis-2-male-to-genesis-8-male-commercial#latest - it may be worth posting in one of those, for one of the problem products.
Can uyou use any of the scripts included with DS, in the Content Library pane fro Daz Studio Formats under the Scripts/Utilities folder?
