How do you tile a shader?----- SOLVED

I just purchased a shader and wondered if something is wrong.

1) The content icon is wiped out. (See attachment)

2) The shader expands to the size of the target primitive plain. Can the shader be tiled?

Here is the shader. Is it possible to step and repeat the shader map over a larger plane?

The shader map is made up of a 6x6 matrix of black and white squares.  If I enlarge the plane the the squares get bigger. Is it possible to tile the shader map over the plane?

If you look under "Utilities" (on the left in your first atttached image) you will likely find some tiling  presets.

To do it manually you need (after applying your 6x6 shader preset) to scroll down in the surfaces tab and find the U and V tiling (I think that's what it's called there) and change the number (probably 1 by default) to a larger figure. If you keep them in line (e.g. 10 and 10) then the shape of the pattern will be maintained, or you can stretch it in either directions using different numbers)

Perfect. That is what I was looking for. It was the tiling tab next to the uv tab. Thank you MelanieL
