Animated Smoke, Fire, Fog

It would be nice to have animations for : smoke, fire, and fog in a few styles. Uses vary widely: fireplaces, battles, candles, magic, etc

  • To tell you the truth, I don't know if it's possible to animate fire. The only one way I can think of is perhaps compositing fire animations into the scene in post production work.

Has anyone tried using Fluidos for this? Usually when this is done in other programs, it's through what's called fluid dynamics, like Turbulence FD for example. Depending on how the controls in Fluidos work, it's probably your best shot at getting good simulations of smoke, fire and fog in DS.

I was watching some videos about Embergen and thought of this thread.   There is, or will be, an Optane plugin for this product.   There is a 14-day free trial.   It looks pretty amazing.
