I had 2 new update files in my DIM the other day, one is Genesis 2- DMC and the other is Toonimal Lemur-DMC. Can anyone tell me what the DMC refers to .. I haven't seen this mentioned in the forums.

It is a small file, but I assumed gen 2 dmc was some sort of update to gen 2 starter essentials. Perhaps some minor code since its only 3 kb.
Investigating further I think it has something to do with mimic? which I don't use or have.
DMC stands for DAZ Mimic Configuration. It is the file that allows mimic to know which morphs are associated with which phonemes. Essentially it allows you to do lipsyncing in Mimic. However mimic 3 currently only supports .cr2 files, not .duf files.
It can also be used in lipsync in DS4 32bit & mimic live in the 64bit
also the carrara 8.5 mimic plugin
I created a .dmc file for genesis2 from the default file for myself that I put on sharecg as Daz had not at that time supplied one and others had asked.
Now that has been rectified it appears.
