Is this customization possible?
Is it possible to take individual items out of a set and create new sets? For example, most clothing sets include multiple items such as pants, boots, a shirt, etc. I would like to take only the shirt out of multiple different sets and create my own set of shirts.
Similar question, can I rearrange morph panels? For example, I find it really annoying that morph sets usually go like this 1. "both eyes up" 2. "left eye up" 3. "right eye up" to me I want to work either on the right side, or on the left side, or on both sides at a time, so I would rather group all the 'left' actions together, all t\he 'right' actions together, and all the 'both' actions together because it can be quite annoying reading between the lines trying to find the next 'left' action that you want when you are working on just one side.

Do you mean as in kitbashing or Re-texturing or in some other way? To say create your own set of shirts is a bit vague. You can't for exampe use some one elses prdsuct as the base of an actual new item using the geometry, but you can recolour or retexture it, and you can use the shirt from one outfit with the skirt from another, that is what we call kitbashing.
No I mean literally a 'set' of shirts. Clothing usually comes in sets. From shoes to pants to shirts etc. it's all mixed up. I would rather take all the shirts from all my clothing sets and put them in one folder. All the shoes, all the skirts, etc. etc. together in one place so when I need a shirt, I open that folder and can see the entire wardrobe of shirts I have available.
Ah I see what you mean I am not certain that would be doable, have never heard of anyone doing it that way. Will pass the query on
Categories should already do that, if the content is categorised - you can see that in Content Library under categories or in Smart Content. You can categorise content that isn't yet by right-click.
What it sounds like you want to do is just make it easier for you to find Shirts.
Have you tried using Smart Content? You can select your figure, then open the Smart Content pane and scroll down to the Wardrobe category. This category has sub-categories, including one for Shirts.
Almost all new products, (not necessarily the older poser-based products,) have the meta data to support showing up in Smart Content.
However, if you want more control than that provided by Smart Content, Daz Studio will allow you to create your own custom Categories. Here is a link to a post by @IceDragonArt where she explains how she sets up her Custom Categories. Her information was so valuable, she was invited to d a webinar by Digital Art Live, and the resulting product is available in the store: Daz Studio Content Library.
Because the categories are custom, you can have them "hold" anything you want, as long as there is a preset for the item.
Load your content manually.
Put it where you want it.
This is the easiest way to organize things.
Never touch things in the 'data' folder, and in Runtime leave 'geometries' and 'textures' alone.
Anything else can be moved about, renamed and organized as you please.
It is much better and safer to use categories, or to create links in DS - moving the actual files around will break the COMS, which cana lready have knock-on effects in other parts of the application and which may have more ill-effects in future.
I used to move files around all the time. But doing so is likely to break Smart Content and other features. It also means that every time a product is updated, you have to remember where you moved those files to. In the end, as my library grew, it just wasn't worth the hassle; so I've gone to using Categories to build my own structure there. It's taking a lot of time with over 6000 DIM installed files, but it will be worth it when I'm done.
