The Two CMS's

Since I'll be away from my main system for a few months, I installed Daz 4.12 onto a new laptop. As such, I'm taking my time & selectively installing things & getting "Lost & Found" items Catagorized, etc. It took me a couple install attempts to get the pathing correct but finally Daz and the PostgreSQL CMS installed onto D: & under the same folder.
Once that was working correctly, I got snooping around & notice that there's also a "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\PostgreSQL CMS".
What is that one's purpose?
If I move or rename it, then the CMS tab in DS shows none & I get the No CMS warning. If I F2 & point to the D: one, it won't stay set; if I Accept & Apply that path, close the panel then open & check it again, it's set to None. If I restore the C: one, then it all works again and Daz uses the D: version of the CMS.
I only have DS installed; no other Daz product. Is the C: one sort of a Master or ...?
Comments
The one in Program Files is ther actual database engine, I expect the other is the ContentCluster (the database itself).
Yes, the C: one remains the same size & has no actual data in the ContentCluster folder. The D: one does & of course grows with added content.
So in short, both are used.
If nothing else, I've a really clean looking Smart Content structure now.
