Adjust rigging to shape doesn't work. why?

Okay. I am very tired. It is problem after problem. First off, where can I get detailed information about rigging parameters, erc parameters, and the geometry tool. The little videos on youtube are not enough. I need to know where do YOU learn this stuff. I can't imagine figuring the whole thing by myself.

But here is the pressing issue. I created a morph that implies a slumped posture and I need to adjust the rigging to shape. But when I do, this distortion happens. Something makes it so the "adjust rig to shape" button doesn't do its job.

thank you

  • I just bought Shape rigger plus from Zevo and it does not work. Nice.

I would be very grateful for any advise or hint for what could be the problem here.

Well we do learn a lot by ourselves as well as by asking questions and with some team work, help each other learn.

I do not have the product you are talking about so can't help with that.

I show a very basic "how to" adjust the rigging, apply ERC, and then save the morph in the tutorial I released today. Here's my post.

Basically: Have the morph dialed in 100%. Right-click on a bone and Adjust Rigging to Shape. Then go to the slider, right-click and select ERC. Make sure the 3 options are checked, I do not play with the other options in there. Just check off the 3 boxes and Accept. Then as the morph is dialed out and back in, the bones should be following. If all is well, then zero the morph and save the morph.

Hi thanks for your answer. But I know about "rigging to shape". Issue here is that it does not work. It messes the hands mesh I dont even wanna know how it looks if I pose the figure. What could cause that? What makes "rigging to shape" nit work and how can I fix it? Much thanks in advance

Unfortunately, adjust rigging to shape is sometimes a bit "fiddly". You may have to adjust your bone positions manually and then do the erc freeze.
