I bought it today but I can't seem to get it to render? And aside from that, it wants to render into these little 1:1 images and I don't know how to fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say you "can't seem to get it to render", more of a description of what actually happens, what render engine you have selected, what you loaded (the set or one of the three scenes it comes with, what lighting have you got set up (2 of the 3 scenes come with integral lighting, onme with no lighting)
The scene I just loaded sets teh aspect ratio to 1:1 (as you mention) and seems to rezie the render image down to 91x91 - all you need do is go to Render Settings (Rander> Render Settings .o or Ctrl-Shift-R) and change Diemnsion Prsest (Global) and Pixel Size (Global) to a more useful set of values. I've just changed it to 16:9 and X diemsion of 1800 (allowing the Y value to auto-update). Having hit render and waitedd, I think I see the issue, depsite rendering (clockign up iterations) no image is appearing afer a briedf wait. I am guessing (I will cancel render and check) that more render settings have been updated, primarily for this the one that sepcified update canvas interval (or whatever it is called ..)
Update: the Uopdate Interval is set to 300 seconds (so 5 minutes) and, indeed an initial image did appear just after 5 minutes after I resumed the rdner (after cancellign cnd looking at settings).. Not sure if that is the default or not, but it is not highlighted liek most (all?) settings varying fromthe default are, but I do seem to thiink that images appear quiker than that in other renders I have done!
Long story short - bear with it, an image will appear! But DO look at render settings, a lot are jacked up really quite high and you may want to consider tinkering!
Sorry for the lack of details I'm still pretty new to this. I'll go ahead and tinker with the settings to see if I can get a bigger image. Thanks for the advice!
Edit- Got it working! You were right about it taking a hot minute to show up but it's working.
