Reality render question

Hi all, can someone tell me why the Reality render shows the entire figure, while the frame in DAZ is in close up, please? There must be a setting somewhere in Reality to capture only the frame/port as set in DAZ?
Thanks! :D

With the Reality UI up go to the Camera tab and check that the Render camera matches what you are using for your viewport. Reality will 'adopt' the render dimensions, etc., from that.
Hi, thanks for coming back to me so quickly! I've just done as you say; the only camera offered to me is Camera A ... not sure where to check if that matches what I'm using for my viewport; I think I am using the default main camera? Oh yes, when I look at the drop down menu in DAZ it says Camera A. So that does match already.
I have set the Render Settings in DAZ for 1000 x 750. I see that's what Reality has set as, too. So it's setting the right size, but it's seeing the whole image. I'm attaching the DAZ and the Reality so you can see what I mean.
Thank you! :-)
Ok, what has happened then is this: your scene did not contain a camera. Reality, therefore, created one for you and gave it the name Camera A as it needs the controls available on a camera to be able to decide various aspects of the render.
A quick way to sort this is, with your favoured view visible in the viewport use the Create> New Camera ... menu option. You'll need to click on the Show options button of the dialog that appears (if it isn't already expanded) and select the Apply Active Viewport Transforms radio button before clicking on Accept. Give the camera a meaningful name if you like and in Reality tell it to use this new camera.
Late again...what Simon said.
Or you can change the way Studio starts to have it load a default camera and use it, instead of Perspective View.
While Luxus will automatically use the current perspective as a camera, Reality needs one built for purpose. You will notice it automatically adding a camera when you place many of the Reality light presets into the scene (which can be a trifle annoying when you already have a camera set up, but I digress). If you create a camera and use the 'Apply Active Viewport Transforms' option it will place your camera in the same position and rotation as the Perspective view.
Give your camera a meaningful name so that you can switch out to it in the camera tab in Reality, or set it as your active viewpoint so that Reality defaults to using it,
Oh coool, lots of lovely information - thanks guys! All makes sense to me now - as always, three steps behind. haha! Much appreciated! .... I did buy Luxus but can't find it anywhere in DAZ ... it was probably downloaded by the DAZ Downloader and installed; I'll try manually downloading. I'd like to have it as an option to Reality, and see which I prefer working with. I am simple of mind. lol!
Thanks again!
Luxus integrates with Daz Studio. You need to apply Luxrender materials to a surface under the Surface editor. You may find Reality easier to work with to begin with, as it does take a lot of the hard work out of converting the materials. Luxus will auto-convert at render time any surfaces which haven't been given Luxrender settings.
Here's how to find and set Luxus materials. When it comes to rendering, simply open the Daz render settings and select Luxrender via Luxus under the rendering engine drop down box.
Ha ha! You're right! Tried it, much too complex for simple minds at this stage. Thanks for the diagram, very cool ... meanwhile I got my render done in Reality, worked a treat - thanks everybody for your help! So much learning, so little time ... :D
