I am looking for something that could serve as a simple office foyer/lobby that has an elevator. Free is preferred, inexpensive if Free isn't available?

Any ideas?

    ...and make the walls yourself?

You could make your own foyer/lobby with my Corridors product ($9.95).

    http://www.daz3d.com/interiors-corridors

It has a simple elevator with open/close doors, which is built into an entire wall section. You can either just load the wall section, or have a complete set of walls and fit it in.

Note that the elevator doesn't go up or down. Pic attached.

If you've got Carrara, there's an elevator lobby at ShareCG.

Could you have made the material zones/templates a little harder to work with? ;-P

Looking at the template pack, it would be extremely easy to retexture everything...like the walls have two sections...upper/lower.

Now i think about it... i kinda recall one being offered on the old Daz forum. Does that ring a bell with anyone? I dont remember if it was free or not though.

    Maclean,

Do the wall units have textures to match the same texture as seen on the elevator wall?

Would I be able to create a complete lobby with a set of entry double doors, a hallway that ends with the elevator like the pic attached?
There will be other props I can add, I just dont want any doorways or anything else in the hallway other than the elevator at the end of the hall.

Yes, the walls are made with upper/lower materials so you can re-texture/re-color them. Same for all the other parts - floor, ceiling, etc. Versatility was the whole point of making a modular system.

Yes, it would be pretty easy. The pack includes a set of double swing doors designed to fit the end of a corridor. The elevator is built into a longer section, but you could still fit it like the double doors, and the extra parts would be hidden by the corridor walls.

Looking at the pic you posted, here's a possible example. Take 2 corridor sections and place one above the other, making the floor material of the upper unit and the ceiling material of the lower invisible. (The pack contains poses to move the units in all directions, including up/down). You now have a double height corridor, like the one in the pic (or higher if you want to add another unit. Add the elevator or double doors to the end and a blank end unit above it.

Here's a very quick render to show you the idea. One has the double doors, the other the elevator, and I threw in a set of stairs just for the hell of it. And it can be as high as you want by adding more units.

I used a corridor with doorways in these renders, but there are simple corridors with no doors or windows in the pack too. And every unit has the same materials so you can texture the corridor walls the same as the elevator walls. I specifically designed the mapping and materials so all units will match perfectly when joined together.

One other thing to remember is the pack comes with lots of spare parts - a floor, walls (full-length, half and quarter), ceiling, plain doors and office doors, windows (bevelled, frosted, plain and basement-style), plus all the usual corridor accessories - water-cooler, fire extinguisher, a locker, signs, etc. And all the walls, floors, ceiling, etc all take any square texture. so if you want to use stone or brick, just hunt down a tex and go.

In other words, I reckon you can pretty much build a bunch of different corridors with this. Or by using the spare parts, you can have them as wide as you like - entire rooms, if you want.

Oh, by the way, although presets are included to move things, in Daz Studio the measurements are all in multiples of 150 - 150, 300, 600, etc, so that's really easy too.
