Default Resources for Daz Studio 4.9+ (missing)
Over week ago, I contacted Tech Support regarding missing files when I opened a new product. We tracked it down to the "Default Resources for Daz Studio 4.9+" NOT being installed. Re-installed 4.12 but that didn't resolve the issue.
The Default resources icon shows in DS but as not installed (B&W icon), but it still won't with a double click within Daz 4.12.. In DIM, it's not listed at all.
They had me look for a particular folder (C:/Users/"username"/My Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library/data/cloud, for a folder named "1_13176") and I got back to them with a screen capture showing that THAT particular folder didn't exist. That was the last communication I had with them.
A couple days later, I did some more sleuthing and discovered that in the download folder, DAZ 3DInstallManagerDownloads, both a zip & dsx file, IM00013176-42_DefaultResourcesforDAZStudio49.zip exist.
My question back to tech support was: Can I just manually install these, but where, and/Or how can I get DIM to see those files?
Comments
Check the DIM settings for the download filters. That particular file has only the "Connect Available" tag set (like many others, for some reason), but should at least also have "DAZ Studio 4.5+"
That's checked. Ticked 32-bit files on just in case and doesn't show up there either.
How many files show if you filter products by sku? Enter sku::13176 in the filter field.
Only three.
Hm-m, I have four, and guess which is the fourth? It isn't hidden, maybe, on one of the other two tabs?
Unfortunately no.
Well, maybe Richard H. will wander by at some point & shed some light. Also wondering if this seemingly innocuous issue has Tech Support scratching their heads.
If you take the .zip and .dsx files out of your DIM downloads folder, does it show up after a refresh? Is there a corresponding file (.dsx) in the Manifest Archive which might indicate it was installed?
You checked Show Hidden in teh Ready to Download tab?
Ya, pretty much the first thing I did. Toggled catagories I don't even have too.
I'll give that a try. There is a corresponding dsx file;

That did the trick NorthOf. I owes you at least a beer or something a bit more substantial.
Gratzi!
Prego! The satisfaction of solving the problem is it's own reward, although I am not sure how or why that worked, since the file was there to begin with, but I'll take the win...
Hey everyone! I'm having the same problem but did not understand what's the soution. Can you help me out please?

Instead of saying it is the same problem, describe what your problem is.
