Adding a keyword to a product like a tag?

Is there a way to edit a product so that it turns up as a result for a particular word?

I'd like to create my own word TAG- so if a product is called "Awesome poses for fighting" I can add my own word like "Martial" or "Combat" and have that product show up in Smart Content when I search using...."combat".

Is this even possible?

I see changing tags in the metadata editor, but that seems to be on a per item basis.

I want to create a keyword for an entire product.

I'd even look into changing the name of a product so that is was called "Awesome Poses for Fighting Combat"

Lol. I'm sure not.

You know, I've been frustrated with the same thing for a long time.

With so many product from other sites that have no metadata, searches that only bring up some of the items you're looking for because of metadata, etc. When I search for a chair, I'd like for every product I own that has a chair prop to show up. Or if I'm searching for a shirt, every outfit that has a shirt, etc.

I went and wrote my own app (shared over in the freebies section).

It will take some work to get set up, in that you need to have a thumbnail of all your products you want to use with the app stored in your runtime\support folder. You need to let the app scan your pc to find all your runtime\support folders (which could take a fair amount of time but it's only a 1 time thing). Finally, you need to add keywords to your products so the filter will search more than just the product names.

Taking into consideration I've never learned python, I'd say it's not bad for 2 days work.
