Viewing DIM and 3rd party content from content library

Hi, I apologize for the weird title (English is hard). But I'd like to know if there's a way to view 3rd party content (so not from the Daz shop, but from like Renderosity) and the stuff you buy from the Daz shop in one place. Now I've got a library for the Daz stuff and another for the renderosity stuff, but I'd like to be able to view them all in one spot, now I got to search for way too long until I find what I want because I'm not sure where I bought it.

Like, I like getting new shaders, but I only buy them from the Daz shop, because I know they'll be in one place. But now I found some good ones elsewhere, but at some price points I'm a scared I'm going to forget that I have them because I can't easily find them.

Thanks!

  • If you install both to the saem content directory then they should all be there in the Content Library pane under Daz Studio Formats>content library, assuming they are in DS format. If you want them to appear in the categories or Products views, or in Samrt Content or in the Presets tabs of property panes, then you will need to categorise them and (optionally but ideally) create a product for each. Which is it you want to do?

The content package assistant (sold here at Daz) will help you to get products from other stores installed through the Daz install manager so they show up in the same product library (although they won't hae smart content)

Well, that first point looks like a good way to merge them, but then I still would get lost in the Content library although it would be easier to manage I guess. Maybe I should look into categorising them as products, I did see that option.

    I'll check that out, thanks!
