I feel like this is one of the better applications of dforce hair used for fur that I've seen so far.

  • pretty sure I saw i promo that used human ears instead of the animal ears ... does that mean the hair for this works on the head without the geografted ears? I like both :) Just asking!

Going to get this ASAP!!! It's absolutely gorgeous and the original catgirl bundle was ALREADY awesome, this just adds another 100 levels of awesomeness :D

  • Any chance for a Foxy Gentleman one of these days? I've got money I'd love to give you for one....

yes indeed we did provide a hair preset which can be used without the Foxy or Cat ears. here is an image that mab did showing foxy without the foxy ears. I'll do a render of the hair on a regular character asap and drop it in here.

This looks wild. I have to agree with JoeQuick that this looks like one of the better implementations of dforce strand hair I've seen so far. I'm also impressed that it includes wearables so regular characters can dress up. That is really cool.

I am curious, do we need to run the simulation to get results?

Thank you. and no for still images you would generally not need to run a simulation, but there are some instances where you would, for example for the DAZ promos they have a pretty strict requirement for minimum clothing, which is why I had to put the bikini on the figure, but I still wanted to show the chest hair, what I did to do that was first create a custom density map which removed most of the hair in the areas that would be covered by the bikini, as seen here.

but that wouldnt be enough since there was some hair that overlapped the bikini which was outside the bikini at its base, so what I did for that hair was start with the bikini larger than the chest and do a simulation using the animation timeline to shrink it down to the body, thus trapping the overlapping hair under the bikini.

the other instances I used simulation for stills is with the tail in poses where it touches the ground such as this one.

Thanks for including the Cat Girl upgrade.

It was our pleasure, the dforce hair was not ready for release when we were working on catgirl and frankly it took me a while to really learn how to use use it effectively, but once I saw how well it looked I had to make it backward compatible.

  • So the page lists Catgirl as a requirement - is that just for the bonus presets, or does Foxy Lady herself need catgirl?

RawArt's Catgirl at 50%, HFS Shapes cat head at 100%, skipped the ears, used original catgirl black materials, set all the fur to a simple medium gray (works for a no-pattern fur), used a gender swap morph.

First, this is amazing, you are amazing, and I love you both.

Second, I am having a bit of an issue with the dforce wrist fur sleeves when not using the geografts--the cosplay hierarchical materials don't work at all on the hand fur, and neither do the foxy wrist materials (as things stand, the wrist sleeves only render as a thin band of white fur.) I've tried manually loading the materials, but there are a couple of bald spots near the base of the thumb and the middle of the hand I can't seem to get rid of. I installed both products with Connect, so maybe Daz has trouble finding things?

Doujin, but not hentai, as there was no lewd content shown in the piece (and I sleep better at night knowing this... *shivers in traumatized internet consumption*)

The problem you are having is because of how the shader for dForce hair works, dForce dual lobe shaders are designed to mate with the specific surface the hair is built on, thus the hair actually reads the uv map of the surface it was designed for for both the color and the distribution map, the geograft hair parts were created specifically for the geograft parts, so if you apply them without the geografts they dont have the geograft uv to read the colors from.

To be clear I only recommend using the wearables and not loading the hair parts on their own, the only reason the individual hair parts are in the library is that the wearables need them to be able to load the proper parts for that wearable so load the parts from the anatomy library and not from the hair parts sub library (if you must load them from the hair parts library you need to load them onto the intended geometry I did indicate the proper geometry in the parenthises for example (G8F) means they are intended to load on the main figure (hands) means they are intended for the geograft hands (Tail) means they are intended for the geograft tail and so on. )

  • Got the set today, looking forward to wolfie, hoping you might make a mousie?

  • UthgardUthgard Posts: 867

Ah, so the hand fur that loads by itself is the same one that loads with the geograft, that explains it. Sorry, I thought it was an additional option (as if there weren't enough toys to play with.) At least I can load shaders on it, even if there are a couple of bald spots.

  • I bought this product as well as the cat girl and I am really happy with them. They were worth purchasing, and are a wonderful quality. I rate both the fox and cat sets a solid 5/5 stars.

Instead of sticking to a fox or cat, I am using the materials in both kits to create some other unique anthro character types, such as the deer shown below. It is VERY work in progress, and I have a lot more work to go.

I hope they do hooved anthro models and bird models soon!

Hello, I have a question: the promo model does not seem to be included in the package. Is there any way to recreate it, or is it a fully custom, unreleased model? Thank you!

  • Very nice Kimonolady I love the direction you're going smiley

For the main promo and many of the others I used Kanade 8 at 100% with lara by thorn head morph at 40% some images such as this one I switched the full Karyssa with Lara head at 44% there were a few others mixed into some of the other promos mab likes to do more character mixing than I do.
