Hi,

I just upgraded to Daz 4.12 on my windows machine - ran all updates on my OS (windows 8) upgraded to the lates nvidia drivers - when I bring up daz I see the 2 Nvidia cards selected for photoreal renders (cpu is not selected) - but when I hit render the windows opens and it immediately halts - log file says no compatible devices found.

Would love suggestions

Thanks

How ddi you get the nVidia drivers? The Windows Update route doesn't always get the latest. You need 430.86 or later - tight-clcik the desktop and select nVidia Control Panel to see the currently installed version number. What are your GPUs?

Directly from thw NVidia GeForce Experience App - 436.48 I checked and it is the latest driver and supports 8.1

GeForce Titan and GeForce Titan Black - driver claims to still support them

This is still an issue -  upgraded driver again to newest (10/22) - still does not render with 4.12 or 4.12 beta

    Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Have you tried using an older driver - e.g. 430.86?

I am having constant issues with 4.12 kicking renders to the CPU. Even when I'm not anywhere near using all my Vram. I constantly have to shut down Studio, restart it, and about 75% of the time, it will use the GPU. Unless I make any changes to the scene, like move an arm a bit, or change a texture, and we're right back to the CPU. I too have the latest drivers, though I'm using a 1060 6GB. Some assets are also automatic gurantees that the CPU will take over, even though--again--not even remotely close to using all available Vram, like AM's new lion.

Indded falling back to 430.86 worked - not sure which might work beyond this and the current version.

    Thanks all
