I know this isn't Tom's Hardware, but... anyone run into this? RTX 2080 Ti

Just replaced my GTX 980 Ti with an RTX 2080 Ti but can't boot up. Keeps telling me to power down and connect the PCIe cables. Yeah they're connected, and working - they're what powered the 980 Ti. All connections solid, card fully seated. PSU is 750W which should be plenty for this - it's the recommended wattage and otherwise it's just a standard rig. So close...

  • Okay problem solved. Removed Y adapters from PCIe cables. Not really sure why they would cause things to fail but they did.
