Smart Content Pane Stop working

Hi there, I am a Mac user, just downloaded Daz 3d I immediately had several issues on my first install, the first one was my Genesis 2 female was not downloaded. I fix that by removing all the files "manually" and through DIM uninstaller... around this time the Smart Content was working.
When I finally got my Genesis 2 female downloaded on second install, I tried to empty my trash there was a file that was not allowing me to delete permanently. So I restarted my mac, sure enough those files are able to be deleted. However, upon opening Daz again I noticed that Smart Content is now blank.
I can still pull assets through content library, but it bugs me enough to try to find the issue.
How can I get the Smart Content Pane to work again?
Comments
The Smart Content pane relies on the Content Management Service (CMS) to be running to populate the pane.
I don't know how you check on a Mac, but on Windows, I use the Task Manager to see what processes are running on the system. You will probably find that CMS is not running. If you installed it correctly, it should run at startup.
Maybe a Mac user will come along who can help more, I'm not sure where you would look. If it is CMS that is not running or stopped, then Products and Categories wont work either, or even the Search function in the Content Library pane.
Hello,
which OS X version are you on?
Smart Content (DAZ Content Management Service) can be found in Activity Monitor (to see if it's running).
I am on OS X 10.9.1
Thanks for the quick respond, where exactly is the activity monitor.
And if it's not running is there a way of fixing it without another process of uninstalling the whole software again?
-------------------
Update: Found the ACTIVITY MONITOR, I see DAZ is running but I don't see content manager.
Again, how can I get Smart Content back?
In the directory where you have smart content installed, usually /Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Content Management Service , there is a folder named utilities, in there is a Stop and Start script.
I only have a folder called studio 4 and a file: dzinstall.ini
I think I might have lost it??
Then reinstall it using the cms- installer that you find in the DIM folder.
If you are running OSX 10.7 or 10.8 then the Library folder that houses the DAZ Content Management Service is hidden by default. You'd need to show hidden folders in order to find it.
Thank you guys, I am running 10.9
I will try re installing it. This is a really powerful software by the way. not to take anything of it.
I guess I'm just use to out of the box ready software
So I tried doing that but a pop up window shows up saying that
No changes to the previous installation please change the options or cancel installation.
