Can anyone explain how to export Genesis as a cr2 file so I can get it to work with Mimic Pro?
(is that possible using the tools available in DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro?

    Hey Tspirit -

Watched the video and jotted down a bunch of notes. I'll give it a try in a few days when I have some time. Thanks for the link!

Hope it works for you. With all the new changes 4.6 rocks but sure is hard to know how to jump back and forth between all the programs. hehe Hugs Tenderspirit

    hate bust your bubble

    but that video doesn't help

i have watched it over 20 times..pausing and following step by step

in the video, there is a box that pops up when you save as cr2 asking where you saved the obj

in Daz studio 4.6..no box pops up

    i have tried everything..

and this is what happens when i move a body part

You aren't meant to pose it, just take it into Mimic to generate a pose for the speech morphs which you then apply to the original figure as I understand it.

i also get the same results the other way around

if i take a poser 8 or higher stock character like Alisha2 into daz studio,

i get a similar problem when posing

but studio generates a "weight map" warning

Uhhhhhh!! Why is everything so hard with this program!

Sorry! I over reacted. Hahah! You just have to feed the exporter your runtime location, and a location for the CR2 within libraries/character. And exporter works like a charm!

    Whew, less coffee for me!

it does not look great in Mimic pro but the exported pz2 Mimic Pose will work fine in Poser or DAZ studio for that matter.

It also works if you do the same with an exported triax converted Genesis 3 figure.
