4.11 was fine, suddenly posing takes FOREVER and everything has to be loaded or something just to move an arm. Where did it all go wrong Daz?

What graphic card do you have and are the drivers up to date?
I think a GeForce 1060 and yes they are, just recently.
Again I think there's a major difference between 4.11 and 4.12
It has been noted a slowdown in 4.12 with certain morph packages. It is likely that you use one of them. Don't know if this has been fixed in the latest beta.
I'm a little at odds with this complaint as I'm finding the opposite. Posing is much smoother and quicker in 4.12 for me so I use the Beta to set up scens and go back to 4.11 to render them (as 4.12 is more than likely to fall back to CPU). I've long grumbled about slow posing response in the viewport in previous versions, especially when fibre hair is present, but 4.12 (Beta) seems - so far - to be much better.
This is most likely that you have a few things fitted on your character that has "smoothing" turned on, try turning them off...
I was having a lot of trouble moveing and posing characters, it was real slow and almost kinda jerky. On some of my characters I was using I noticed that they had eye lashes turned on. I turned off the eye lashes and posing was a lot easier. Some times I have noticed turning off the hair while posing helps too.
i use 1060 3Gb,, no changes in view port and a bit 10% faster render,,
check F2 preference and use "BEST"
