Right way to save prop with parented items in ON/OFF states?

Hopefully, I'm just missing it....but isn't there a way to save a prop with items parented to it where the items are either in an off or on state of visability? I'd like it to be such that it doesn't load ANOTHER prop, like as a scene subset, but simply modifies the existing load.

I have a prop that has a point light parented to it, which makes it light up. It's easy enough to simply turn off the eyeball to turn off the light. But how would I save that as a "pose" so it's a one click thing and I can just select it and click on/off from a preset. I'm going to have multiple instances of it in a scene set and I'd like to have a preset to just turn it on or off on each one, without having to dig into the scene tab.

I've tried doing a pose preset and a properties preset using "other", neither of which seems to do the trick. I know you can do it with a wearable preset, because I've done it, but that loads a whole new instance. For this, I just want to modify an existing instance.

Hey Richard...yep I tried that. It's basically like the attached screenshot. I tried using other but it doesn't seem to work on things parented to the item or in a group. I was hoping it would work on at least something being on or off via the eyeball. That DOES work on scene subsets, just not as a "preset" to affect existing loads. I also tried an Hpose and that won't do it either.
