How do you put a picture onto a plane

in New Users

Using my own picture from my camera as the background, created a new primitive plane inthe scene, now would like to insert picture onto the plane.  Anyone know how to do this? Thanks! - SKI

    Select the plane, open the Surfaces pane (if it isn't - Windows>Panes(Tabs)>Surfaces), go to the Editor tab, and click the little Daz icon by the colour slider for Base colour or Diffuse colour, select browse from the menu, and grab your image.

    Pack it carefully, lots of bubble wrap and preferably a good solid box as well,  thos airport luggage handlers can get a bit careless.

    Thank you so much for the help Richard!  In the process I have somehow majorly MAJORLY scrwed something up and cannot for the life of me get back to a normal screen.  This is all I see!  Please help if you know how I managed to mess this up!
