A little help with a model

Okay so I have this figure (body, head, etc) on poser that I can bring to Daz 4.6 but I was wondering..is there a way to somehow transfer this model to the genesis form or will I have to go and tinker with Genesis until I somehow get it close to my original model? I was just wondering if it was possible to somehow transfer instead of hoping to get close to what I already have.

P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong place!

You don't mention which model you are using so it is difficult to answer your question. You should have a look at Generation X.

    Generation X here : http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x

It is for transferring legacy morphs from Generation 4 (V4, M4 etc) and Generation 3 (V3, M3, A3) to Genesis using the GenX AddOns There is a Generation X for Genesis 2 in the pipeline, but no idea of timescale yet.

Has anyone heard anything from Dimension3D concerning GenX for G2?

Sorry! The model is actually one I've tinkered into a specific look so it isn't like..something someone else made or anything. Basically I just took v4 and shaped her how I wanted her. I like the way it came out and was hoping if possible to move it to Gen. However I am not sure I will be able to do this with Gen X?

That is what GenX is made for.

All of the V4 morphed characters can be transferred to Genesis by using this plugin, but you also need the V4 shape for Genesis as well, which makes Genesis 'look like' V4.

If you didn't move her off into a modeling program, like Hexagon, Blender, Sculptris or so on and actually sculpt changes, then all the shaping is morphing and is transferable with GenX. If it is custom sculpting, then you need to generate a morph, first...then use GenX to transfer that morph...

I guess it just confuses me a little then. Well then if anyone can be so kind to tell me how to get it to GenX? Sorry for being such a bother. This is my first time using something like GenX.

The model wasn't pulled from another program. Just me tweaking v4 features until I got what I liked. I saved the file as a scene. Am I suppose to save her as something else?

You should have this file : 13516_genesis-generation-x.PDF which comes along with the GenX plugin There is also a forum thread here
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/25590/

Here is a video on YouTube which goes through the whole process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYCapNih-A4

See how you get on with these, and if you have specific questions, please feel free to post them here.

AFAIK, his last post indicated he was just about finished with the GenX2 update, and that he estimated the release date to be around the first or second week in February. I am waiting most anxiously.

See I know how to transfer over an already made model (aka looking through poses and finding the inj and moving that to GenX). However the figure I tweaked to how I want to transfer over isn't in any .inj that I can just pull over to GenX. That is what is what I am stumped on..

How did you create the model, and what model is it, V4, M4?

If you used the sliders in the Parameters pane, then they may be part of Morphs++, and you need to transfer that as well. Can you give a bit more information on what you model is, and what morphs you used to get the shape that you have?

I just used V4 with Morphs++. Adjusted the parameters to how I liked them. Took me forever to get her how I liked her too so that had me asking about this.

You need to carry over the Morphs++ as well as the figure.

From the listed thread answered by Vaskania

Open GenX (Windows > Tabs > GenX).

On the Transfer tab, you should have an empty box in the middle.
    Drag in V4.2
    Drag in the Legacy INJ
    Drag in the Morph++ INJ
    Drag in the character INJ.
Right click > Transfer ON for all non-zero values.
    Create Single Morph
    Hit Transfer.

Okay I don't have a character inj. I just have the v4 in a scene saved file.

Then, probably, the first step would be to save it out as full character morph...
