"Missing files"????

I'm just getting started, doing the "Barefoot Dancer" tutorial
The first thing I encounter is missing files flag
I've downloaded and installed all of the Genesis Basics, 1 & 2

All it loads is a box figure (no detail)

So....

What are these files and where are they and how do I get them to load?

It appears the folder you installed to is not a folder DS was told to use as a DAZ Studio Content Directory - that is, it isn't listed under DAZ Studio Formats in the Content Library pane. If you have had DS4 installed for a while and installed with the Install Manager then that can happen - the DIM by default installs to \My DAZ 3D Library in the shared documents folder, but DS until recently used \DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library in the user's documents folder by default. The fix is simply to add the My DAZ 3D Library to the list of content directories - in the Content Library pane right-click on DAZ Studio Formats, choose Ad Base Directory from the menu, and select the My DAZ 3D Library folder.
