VR 360 Camera + Photoshop HDR Pro Environment Map not lighting?

I'm trying to create my own .hdr files for use in Daz Enviroment lighting. (Note, yes, the VR 360 camera provides a limited resolution. I'd ljust ike the lighting to work though will be overlaying on higher resolution background images.)

However, it seems that the lighting isn't being read. I'm taking 3 exposures at roughly -1ev,0,1ev

Are there additional settings needed?

Here's an attempt - http://corgi.cam/hdri/villas2.hdr ;

    A decent HDRI for lighting will need way more than 3ev range. There are so many excellent free HDRI online, especially if you want to use other background images.

  • My recollection is that you need more than two EVs spread to make a working HDRI.

    Depending on the light and dark areas in the image you might have to go -10 to +10 ev, or more, to cover the range. The finished image should go from bright white to deep black in small increments.

    This is what it looks like in my DS viewport.  An image taken outdoors on a sunny day like that should have a lot more contrast.  It's also not terribly sharp, so you might want to work on that, as well.  It looks fine in an image editor fit to your screen, but it falls down a bit when used as a 3D background.  Were you working with JPEGs or RAW files?
