Will Long hair for V4 work on Genesis or Genesis 2 Females?

I was reading and it said there is some distortion of long hair when it goes threw autofit. I am wondering if long V4 hair can be used with Genesis and/or Genesis 2. And what I would need to do/buy to make it work. If it can work at all. Advice about shorter hair or any advice about using V4 hair on Genesis of Genesis 2 females is welcome. I have not bought any V4 hair because I don't know what can be made to work and what can't. I need advice before I make any bad purchases. I've bugged the sales department too much already. I'm trying to research better before I buy. I am very interested in Valea's hair models as I love long hair and I like many of the models for V4 as well as models for Genesis and Genesis 2. Also Advice about what will happen if I try to fit Genesis to Genesis 2 wouldn't hurt to know.

Sometimes Autofit works, sometimes it doesn't. If not just put the hair in position manually, then parent it to the head.

I don't know if you've read @Scott-Livingston's hair tutorial. If you haven't, there is a lot of helpful information on working with hair including fitting V4 hair to Genesis. I've used the same techniques outlined for fitting "older" hair to G2 as well.

RuntimeDNA has a very good Dragonbraid hair for V4 bundle which works well with V6. It comes as a base skull cap which easily autofits to V6's head. There are then several hair/braid props which can be parented (not autofited) to the base skull cap. It looks quite spectacular.
