Q2 My current render lighting is very dim and choppy. How can I make it look better? Can I change the render? Thanks in advance.
[1] Yes, via the Surfaces pane - if the model is UV mapped. You can check by seelcting the model and its surfaces and then using the UV preview mode, from the sphere icon at top-right f the Viewport (to switch back the Viewport mode button mopves to top-left, or hit cmd(Mac)/ctrl(Win) plus a number key - 9 will give texture Shaded mode).

Maybe include an image to give us an idea of what you're working with, and if you're rendering with the older 3DL render settings or with the newer Iray settings, because those require different approaches. With Iray, one basic approach is, if you added lights, to select the light in your scene tab and crank up the luminosity a lot in the Lights tab. Like a lot a lot.
There are many videos on YouTube about Daz lighting. Here's one.
Q3 How can I hide the rig of the character? The bones are always showing, and it doesn't allow me to get a good look at the model. Is there avway to hide it? Thanks in advance.
Q4 I have a character in DAZ3D, and it has been moved around the area. I want to reset the character's position to the original position, exactly in the center and on the ground. Is there a way to do that? Thanks in advance.
Q5 I'm trying to export a character as a DAZ3D file type, not an FBX or any other type of file. How can I do that? Thanks in advance.

What tool is active (Tools menu)? By default, with most tools, the bones markers are hidden.
Zero the transaltion parameters - note that you may have used the sldiers on the hip bone and/or the figure so check both (a quick way to zero is to alt(Win)/opt(Mac) click on the slider)
Export for what? Is it an original figure or a modification (using exsiting sliders) of one of the default figures? Export is used for non-native content, you'd use save for native files - as a scene, or as various kinds of preset.
