Hi Folks, I need advice
My computer, which was still under warranty, crashed taking all my DAZ Studio files with it. I retruned it to the factory which decided to wipe everything and is sending it back to me like a new machine. I had around 1,900 DAZ items on my PC that were lost... along with everything else.
Fortunately, DAZ has a record of all my purchases, so I can get them back as I rebuild everything on my machine. My question is simply what is the best way to do this? Do I have to click on every single item? Also, how do I select just DAZ files and not other items, such as Poser, or older items that I no longer't use?
I would really appreciate your ideas on the best way to do this. Creating artwork using DAZ is my hobby, and I love it. Now I need help on how to rebuild everything. -- Vic
P.S. For those of you who were wondering how this could happen: Yes, the computer was backed up, but that failed too. Yes I had maleware protection installed, and the factory experts don't think it was caused by maleware anyway. They ldon't know what caused it, and neither do I. For anyone who is really interested in the details of the malfunction, just ask. I can provide them.

easiet way to restore is use the install manager (DIM). It will list all your products and you can select DS or poser files to install.
As it is known that I'm not a regular user of DIM, I will add my voice that I concur with FSMCDesigns, this is certainly one time when "the" way to go is via DIM.
As for backups, might consider investing in something called an external harddrive which is only connected when making or retrieving stuff.
Thank you for your advice.
