You need to install the FREE content that is in your My Products that comes with DAZ Studio. There are 3 packages of content to install.
The Genesis Starter Essentials
The Genesis 2 Starter Essentials and
the Default Lights and Shaders for DAZ Studio.
That Error says you do not have the Genesis 2 Starter package installed to your content folder.
Yes...but they are separate downloads. You need to make sure, even with the DIM, that all parts of the content get installed.
And if you did use the DIM to install, you need to make sure that the location that it defaults to for installing (usually the 'public' path, as opposed to your user profile) is mapped in DS's Content manager.
It ALL comes as a seperate content now. They no longer include the content in the Main Program. Here is a SNAP of my My Account> My Products and DAZ Studio 4.6 pro selected as the item see the different packages of content I pointed out? They are FREE but need installed. Some of the Plugins that LIST in my view are Now Built in but YOU need the Content.
How did you Download and install them. If you used the DIM it does not INSTALL to the folder that DAZ Studio points to at default install.
DAZ Studio Creates a Folder for content that is set for ONE user in the USERS my Documents.
The DIM creates a Folder that is set up for PUBLIC use by all users in a household as Microsoft wants Data to be PUBLIC now.
I think your DAZ Studio is pointing to the DEFAULT folder instead of the NEW DIM folder. Can I please see a screen capture of your Content Prefs in DAZ Studio with DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats expanded as show here.
EDIT: That is MY DAZ Studio pointed to a Default DIM folder.
And there is no 'Public/Documents/Daz 3D/Studio/My DAZ 3D Library' mapping on that list...and THAT is where DIM defaults to installing things...
And you need it in both DS and Poser formats...
I don't use the DIM (I run under WINE on a Linux system and can't get the DIM to behave, no matter what I try, so I gave up on it), so I can't be 100% sure on this, but if you click the gear icon (upper right corner, I think)in the DIM you should be able find the preferences and the default install location...use the location listed in the DIM, if different than the path above...
You need to have both/all the directories mapped...so combine BOTH settings you posted.
You should not put the path to the 'data' folder in the Content Directory Manager.
The path should read C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library in BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats. It should end at My DAZ 3D Library, and should NOT list sub-folders
Once DAZ Studio has the correct path, it knows where to find the data folder, and all will be well.
That is because you are still entering the wrong path.
The path should read C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library in BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats. It should end at My DAZ 3D Library, and should NOT list sub-folders
Remove the word 'data' from the end of the first path, and delete the other two paths below it.
ironically, I've tried to post this several times and the Msg Board says:
Unable to receive your submission at this time
That's the anti-spam 'feature' of the board software kicking in.
Basically the exact phrasing you used in your post was used in the past...I'm not sure if there is a cutoff feature to it, but simple/one word answers to posts are basically not allowed.

It's not so much one word answers as repetitive answers.

they ARE loaded/downloaded

Here's a screenshot of my Prefs.
I uninstalled DAZ and DIM.
I reinstalled DAZ and DIM accepting default locations.
I downloaded my content from my DAZ account.
Started DAZ and tried loading "Barefoot Dancer".
I still get this message......
I changed the path in the Content Mgmt tab:
still getting the error msg (as in previous post)!?

I suspect you may want to 'trim' that DAZ content path back to terminate at the 'My DAZ 3D Library' (cut off the data/DAZ 3D').
You should not put the path to the 'data' folder in the Content Directory Manager.

Still getting the same message.

Thank you SO much!

I didn't change the wording. Just kept retrying till it went thru. Sayin'.
Thanks everybody for helping me out.
Cheers!!!
