Genesis 2 .dsf file not found

Hey all, I'm having dramas getting a Genesis 2 figure to load properly. I installed all the content with the Install Manager but when I try to load a Genesis 2 figure in Studio, it comes back with an error message:

"Some assets needed to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected.
The following files could not be found:
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Genesis2Female.dsf"

I've tried reinstalling but it does the same thing. Anyone else had this problem, or know what's going on?

Cheers in advance...
Mitch...

From your error message, it appears that DS cannot find the 'data' folder

By default, DIM installs content to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library unless you tell it otherwise.

You need to go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, and make sure that the correct path as shown above is listed under both DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats.

IF it isn't there...add it as an ADDITIONAL path. Don't replace the current paths shown...just add that one.

There's a pretty good chance it's the same problem with the same solution as set out upthread.

Note that the default location DIM installs your content files into and the default location D|S reads your content files from might not be the same, the two programs do not talk to each other.

  • Hello, i have the same problem. Can someone help me please?

  • To which folder did you install Geensis 2 Female Starter Essentials, assuming you did install it?

If you are a Mac User, by default the * My Library * will be installd in Users/Shared/My Daz3d Library.

You have the one above clicked so maybe that is the problem?
