i have been doing alot of animation in Daz 4.6 lately, and i often have to place cubes or spheres to mark where a figures body part was in the last frame, so i can simulate natural movement and such, and i realized, onion skinning, where an example of the figure's previous position is shown where they were after being moved, would be perfect for complicated things, like walk cycles and the sort. Does anyone know of a method or addon that would do this? i have keymate but so far i don't see any feature like that in it. ---thank you.

Suppose you did a quick render then placed that as the background. You would have to hide any objects temporarily, but that seems fairly simple. Of course you could move the camera when doing it this was but for a single figure, it could work.

Or even parent a plane to a camera and swap out the simple render (with the figure between the camera and the plane)

My method it to simply save that one END frame as a Scene and use it as the start of the next scene. I render to File as Frames and just SKIP rendering that frame a second time. Onion Skin is a Feature I was used to in a MUCH older program and it is very handy.
