Is it possible to update/overwrite a figure's base shape?

Obviously, it's possible to load new morphs onto a figure, but the question is whether it's possible to have that morph then count as the figure's base shape (which is important from the perspective of things like smoothing modifiers, auto-fit and to a lesser extent the transfer utility, although there you can at least choose "current" as a shape option).

The main reason I'm asking in this case is because I'm trying to make myself an update for Lorenzo and Loretta Lorez so that they have the G3 shape and rigging (which I have far more poses/etc for than V4), and ideally I want those to act as if they were the base shape. I could start setting it up as a completely new figure, but as far as I know that would mean I would have to set-up all the original morphs limits manually (unless I've missed something, the Transfer Utility cannot be coaxed to copy across morph parameters).

As a similar but linked question, is there any way to change/remove a figure's default UV layout? Some of my clothing/prop projects have hit the point where I've had to change the UVs, and because I don't know if there's any way to transfer across morph parameters and ERC links, the seemingly quite simple task of removing the now defunct old UV layout into A complete slog of setting up everything from the start.
(These old layouts aren't too much of a bother for personal things, but for anything that I might want to share or sell, it's not very neat to leave them.)

Of course, if there's an answer to "how can I copy across morph limits and ERC links", that would largely solve both of the above problems.

All I can tell you is you can update a figure in Edit> Figure> Geometry> Update Base Geometry> Update Full Geometry, then point the dialog to your updated .obj file of the figure.

The above also applies to objects with new uvs, but that's in Edit> Object> Geometry> Update Base Geometry> Update Full Geometry, and again point it to a remapped .obj file.

IMPORTANT - After any geometry/uvs update, you must resave the figure or object as an asset, or no changes will be kept.

The uvs are no problem, but whether a figure update will solve any morph issues, I have no idea.

Yup - that was what I needed.

As it happened, I hit some other snags after that stage, so I think on the Lorez project I'm probably going to have to grit my teeth and redo the morph set-up from scratch (the upside at least is that way I get to modify the geometry layout if I want).

But thanks all the same! That's going to be very useful information for other projects.
