Render from Viewport not AUX Viewport

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I imagine its pretty simple but I can't figure it out and searching the forums has given me the answer. I have turned off the AUX viewport window. I want to render from the viewport itself but it still renders with the AUX viewport ratio. Any help would be appreciated.

    And as soon as I post this, I figure it out. I needed to have "Active Viewport" selected in the Dimension Preset.

    That isn't actually required - it justs ets the size of the render to match the viewport - but it may have shaken something loose. The active viewport should have a coloured border, and should be the oen you last clicked in - I suppose if you closed the Aux Viewport and immediately rendered that might still be the AuxViewport.

    Ah I gotcha. Yes I believe you're right about it shaking something loose. After I swapped to that I had no issues. And I was doing as you said, rendering just after closing the aux viewport.  Thank you!
