Layout Question: 1 click action to get to subfolder within Content Library?

I'm wondering if there is way to set up a layout so that I can have easy one-click access to different folders in my content library. I don't use Smart Content, I never understood it, maybe I should learn how to get this done. But what I have now is a custom layout with Actvities along the top menu such as "Character", "Hair", "Clothes," etc. Within each of those is the same thing: A viewport, and adjacent to that the Scene, Parameters, and Content Library tabs. This way after I load in a character I can switch to the "Hair" view and the Content Library is wherever I last left it (i.e., Genesis 8 Male > Hair).
This is hugely inefficient and taxes my system, so is there a way to have your Content Library go directly to a folder with one click? Thanks for any feedback in advance, cheers

sooooo it seems like Categories does the job really simply and well. I just created a custom category (under default) and then added the folders from the Content Library like I wanted (e.g., "G8M" > "Characters"). Works like a charm.
I would suggest a separate branch next to "default", like, say, MyCategories, so as to not mix them. You will be able to easily find your products, especially as you add more and more. And more. And then some more. Right-click on "Categories" and select "Create a Sub-Category...". Take some time to plan out how to structure it, but they can always be moved and renamed.
That's the idea behind https://www.daz3d.com/mf-content-bookmarks
You can do it with the script provided by Rob Whisenant (which was updated the other day to work with DS 4.12). It's actually very easy. Just download the script, open it in a text editor, and change the directory path on the last line
to whatever folder you want. There are different scripts for DS content, Poser, etc, so they'll work with anything. I created custom actions for my scripts and put them on a toolbar for easy access.

Thanks everybody. Taking the time to organize categories and that script shared by maclean made a huge difference, I wish I had done this a long time ago! Cheers
Glad it helped. I actually tried that script out about a year ago and couldn't get it working properly, Last week, I was so frustrated, I downloaded it again and it still wouldn't work. I asked in the Scripting forum and Richard Haseltine discovered some issues with DS 4.12. Within 24 hours, Rob Whisenant had updated the script and it worked perfectly! Amazing dedication to the users from Rob, and much appreciated by me!
