Being new to 3D software I'm trying to render a short video clip on my new rig I have just bought specially for DAZ3D
Is it normal to render 4 seconds for 22 hours on RTX 8000 with default rendering options?
Video clip resolution 1600x900: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_UyhqsB-vqOr-Z8d7vTG-vUzc-WnBCen
My specs:
- Video: Quadro RTX 8000
- VRAM 48GB
- RAM: 128 GB
- CPU: Dual process Xeon E5-2670 2.60 GHz
Frames: 102
Rendering Converged Ratio: 88%
Max samples: 3000
Rendering Quality Enabled
Pixel filter: lanczos
Render mode: Photoreal
Photoreal Devices: Quadro RTX 8000
OptiX Prime Acceleration Disabled
Instancing Optimization: Speed
All other options are default after fresh install of DAZ Studio 4.12 Pro
What specs or options does it expect to render such 4 sec clips for at least 1-2 hours?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A RTX 8000 is essentially just a RTX Titan with more VRAM. The only reason to buy an 8000 is if you needed the extra VRAM.
Assuming your scenes would have fit in 24Gb you'd have been better off with a pair of Titans.
As to your question, animation takes a long time. To get a 102 frame clip to render in less than 2 hours, you'd need to drastically cut the image quality (to a probably unacceptable level).
Only render farm.Or tamden 4x Quadro RTX 8000
4s (framerate?) at 22 hours is pretty good at that resolution with a single card. I once calculated that it would take me a couple of years to make a 30 minute movie with my 2070!
