Is there a better way to Zoom out to make environments? It takes forever to zoom out and zoom in. Once you make a huge set you can save it as a scene and add actors but trying to make all the GIS into a environment takes forever!
I think you zoom with the perspective camera?
No. Create a new camera, select it and in the parameters tab use the Z Translate slider. You can even fill in a number to speed thing up.
The catch with the Z-translate slider is that it's absolute to the world and not local space, meaning if your camera is rotated you will in all likelihood lose the focus of what you're aiming at. To get around this, you can use the universal tool and click on its local Z-axis arrow then drag it out to a better position. Remember to swap to the camera before rendering though.
Ok thanks but if I still understand cameras, shaders, or lights. I've been focused on morphs, poses, and textures. they need better tutorials on that stuff.
