Imported textures are missing details

Hi all. Recently I've been importing items from Xnalara into Daz via Blender. The process is pretty simple: export scene as obj into Blender, export again from Blender, then import into Daz, but after that final step it's clear the obj's textures have lost some of the details that were present in Xna and in general can look very dull. I've read before that Daz has a hard time processing compressed texture jpgs but I haven't been able to find a solution written on any forum here. Is there a way to solve this or is this just something you have to live with when importing?

Is the case that you miss a lot of maps as the obj format only defines diffuse, bump, but the textures uses normal maps and other maps that are not imported with the objects but you need to apply yourself?
I'm new at this stuff (see zero posts lol) so I don't exactly understand all those terms but I can say that the textures are imported automatically with the figure when I import it into Daz from Blender.
Here's a small example of what I'm talking about: I'm including two screenshots of what an article of clothing looks like in XNA vs what it looks like in Daz. For the most part it imported fine, the only issues are how dull the neckpiece's center medallion looks (missing those lines and marks around the edges). It's a metallic texture, would that have anything to do with it?
I can't understand why you pass via blender since daz studio can import obj fine. As for materials you may try to set the render engine to 3delight before importing. Since obj materials are intended to be basic opengl shaders this may give a better match.
Then you may also need to add extra textures yourself as reported by @Totte.
That is shader settings and missing normal maps.
You have to understand that there is a huge difference between "moving the mesh, polygons" from one host to another, compared to move shaders. The first almost always woks unless the mesh is really crappy, but the second will require lots of manual work until done correctly. You need to understand how materials works in DAZ Studio compared to how they work in Blender and then translate the materials / shader setting from Blender to DAZ Studio.
