How to scale correctly?

Is it possible to scale models smaller than default and be able to zoom in on them without them losing limbs and their bodies?

For instance, if I wanted to scale an object, say a table or a chair, from 100% to 2%. Is there a way to make sure when you zoom in to see the final details of the figure/prop/environment.

Or do I have to scale things massively bigger first then have normal-sized objects/figures, from 100% to 1000%? I've tried this and it takes so much time just to move the perspective camera.

Yes, you can scale down (10%) without lose texture details or bones system. Otherwise, I don't recommend you to scale up (1000%) cause textures quality will broken.

You will see final details normally, but the envirionment will affect differently the objects.

It takes time cause Daz Studio must to move the texture that is already heavy, when you scale up, everything become aggressive to deal with.

You can simple work with camera zoom and camera lens, put a camera in your scene and try to set up its configuration the best you can.
    Hope helped!

If scaling, and losing the ability to "see the items" in the preview window is an issue...

Place all items, in the scene, into one group, except the camera...

Now scale the items to be whatever size you want them to be, within the group, relative to one another.

When it comes time to edit a tiny item, which you can not actually "see" in the preview, due to "clipping"... Just scale the whole scene up. Make the changes. Scale it back down to normal and hit render.

This works in reverse too... If you have an item scaled-up too large to see in preview, due to clipping or it being larger than the view-range. It still exists, you just can't see it, in the preview.

NOTE: You don't want to put the camera in the group, because it will scale the camera too, causing all sorts of other issues. Cameras don't like to be scaled, as objects. You can also LOCK all transforms for the group, except all-scale, so you don't accidentaly scale a single axis or rotate it, etc...
