Athletic Supporter for M3

No, I'm not talking about someone who buys season tickets to the local high school's home games.

I need to "clothe" a Michael 3 character for a locker-room scenario, to make him (more or less) TOS-compliant. In short, and not to put too fine a point on it, I want to put him in an "athletic supporter', a.k.a. and colloquially known as the good ol' 'jock strap'. (God, I so hated having to wear those things in high school! In fact, I was ready and willing to flunk PhysEd just so I wouldn't have to!)

That particular article of under-clothing seems to be pretty hard to find. I've searched all the usual places (DAZ, ShareCG, Rendo, RDNA), and found precisely one.

I located one on Renderosity (which I purchased - kudos to SickleYield for recognizing the need for such a product), but it's for Michael 4.

Does anyone know where I can find one for M3 or, failing that, some suggestions on where to find, or create, a fit morph for the SickleYield SuperJock for M4H4?

I'm sure the forum administrators will appreciate all over you. (As will I.)

You're gonna have a hard time finding anything for M3 but there may be a free one somewhere. I don't think DAZ sells anything for Generation 3 anymore. I think they all been vaulted.

You're probably right. I just Googled 'jock strap for M3', and the very first result returned was..., this post!

I was just hoping that, before I fire up Blender to build my own, somebody, somewhere, had created a fit morph for the clothing article I mentioned.

Undergarments For Michael 3 is still in the store. No jockstrap in the set, though - just boxers, briefs, socks, and a muscle-T.

Have you tried running the one you found through either Wardrobe Wizard or CrossDresser to convert it to fit M3?

There is always the 'transmap'/retexture route on the briefs...

Actually, I did. (Well, I used Clothing Converter 4.0.) And the result was, um, let's just say..., somewhat less than optimal. (The simple truth is, it was positively horrendous!)

So I decided to try something 'different': I loaded my M3 character (his name is Connor, by the way), zeroed the pose, and then added the M4 SuperJock and conformed it and parented it. (I was working in Poser Pro 2012, if that matters.) And then I started fiddling with the various parameter dials. And got a hard-core, root-hog-or-die, lesson in the use of Poser's Morphing Tool. And after about an hour or so of tweaking and twiddling..., I got it to fit! For the most part. Still a few 'poke-through' issues, but nothing that turning him a few degrees to starboard couldn't hide! (Thank God I'm not doing an animation!)

I had hoped that I would be able to save myself that hour-and-change of jacking with the parameters, but alas, such was not in the cards.

But I thank you all for your help and guidance. It's good to know that, whenever I'm completely flummoxed, I have a place to turn to! And people who are willing to take the time to point me in the right direction.

    You folks are a God-send!

I've been looking for a TRUE athletic supporter for any Genesis male product for years.  Most of what I find are "street jocks" or "fashion jocks" but not true athletic supporters (with a wider waistband).  I am willing to pay a reasonable price for one.
