Sci-Fi, big size for "MECH 2012 Enforcer" ?

Dear,

I think this is an old reference, can I create a render to print about 2-3 meters tall ?

Well, I think the question is in which resolution do you want to make your poster.

I would assume 72 DPI would be ok. And if so an print of e.g. around 2.5 meter would be 7200 pixels.

The textures in the model is listed as 512 to 2048. If you're going to print all of it I wouldn't think it was noticeable.

But if you already own it, you could try making a small closeup render of maybe 10-20% to scale and see if you found it satisfactory.

  • Perfect if 2048 pixels texture is enough for this size. I thought that 4096 would be necessary.

I usually create the renderings at 10,000 pixels.

I have not yet purchased the product, I preferred to ask before.

    Thanks

If we say the whole picture is 7200 pixel, the the question is, if there are any textures covering the full robot.

If there is, then 2048 would probably be too small, because 1 texture pixel would be spread over 4 renedered pixel.

But if one texture max covers 25% of the height then the resolution of the texture would be the same as the render or better.
