Iray server renders - MyGenius/Jarvice

I have successfully used the Iray Server (Advanced render settings) with MyGenius Iray server on Jarvice/Nimbix for single frame cloud renders.

Is is possible to change settings in Edit so that 'movie' or 'image series' can be uploaded for cloud processing.

I am told that the Iray server will support animation rendering but has Daz supplied the settings tools?

I don't believe so, it was not possible and I don't recall any note relating to this in the Change Log.

  • Question: is it neccessary to sign up with both MiGenius and Nimbus.net? What's the process for setting up an Iray render server account?

I think I signed up for both and was able to render a single frame. I lost interest when I was unable to render neither a motion image series nor a .mov animation. I wonder if Daz will open up the spec in advanced to allow this?

  • Another one in the same situation.

I just signed in with Migenius and Nimbix, paid 10$ subscription just to see I could only render still images and image sequences were not available...

Some kind of experiment, I guess. But for still images I think it's not so useful as it could so I'll be signing out of the service till this plugin evolves a bit.

  • Just to add here, you don't need to pay the subscription fee unless you're developing something.
" This is a monthly recurring charge and is required if you wish to create applications and workflows."
    Just untick it

How does it work? Do you need to export to OBJ or is it seamless and you just click render button?
