The tail does not work, does not appear bushy like in the promo renders. It's just a cage around a stick tail and doesn't change no matter what I do [redacted]

Which version of Ds is this? dForce hair requires DS 4.11.x.x or later.
I'm using Daz 4.12
Well, this has been no help. Guess I'll just get a refund.
The answers can't come from the forum, usually, as these are peer to peer. Daz can only be made aware if you submit a ticket.
Makes one wonder what the point of the forum is then other than some posting endlessly requoted conversations in the complaint thread about one's bunions using as many keywords as possible to break the search function.
I don't see the tail, like in the promos, until the scene is rendered.
Hi Lindsey, thanks for the response. Does that mean you don't even see the tail this way in the preview/viewport? It's been a long time since I've worked with something like that, and forgot that may have been the issue entirely. Either way, I'll test that now with a sample render, thank you.
EDIT - Hot dang! You're right, it looks like the promos, but only when I commit to a full-on render. I wonder why that is? But thank you!
If you select the tail and then look in the parameters tab for the tail
General > Simulation > Hair > Pre Render (PR)
Is Generate PR Hairs and Preview PR Hairs both set to 'On'?
Oh, it was not on. I never knew this was a thing, now it shows in the preview. Thanks for the tip Felis!
There are a great many things forum/studio/carrara/hex etc users can help each other with. Some things (possible product fixes/updates) can only be addressed by Daz. Sometimes creators frequent the forum, but not always. And if it's a zip or other technicality, the creator couldn't handle it either. Some things only other users who have the product in question may be the ones who could come up with a solution.
I'm glad you were able to get responses that assisted you.
