Iray crashes at 22%

Trying to recall how to troubleshoot an Iray render that keeps crashing (and taking the whole system with it -- Win10 enters recovery mode when it reboots). So, where do I find the logs, and what else should I try? Deleting the background prop? Simpler settings? Smaller render size? FYI, This is a simple scene: 2 clothed figures holding guns and a single background prop. 3Delight renders fine. It's just Iray that causes the crash.

Do you have filtering turned on by any chance?

Daz: Go to the [Help] menu, then select [Troubleshooting], then select [View log file]

Quick checklist, just because... (Because this is such a "fatal crash".)

1: Is windows up to date?

2: Are your video-drivers up to date? (Actually, the latest "game ready drivers", for "Red dead redemption 2", seem to be a bit troublesome for some people.)

3: Is Daz up to date, and the items you are using? (Again, the latest 4.12 version seems to be troublesome for some people at the moment.)

4: Do you have "Chrome" open, when rendering? (That can sometimes cause me issues, as it uses "Hardware acceleration" for the displays and seems to open a bunch of threads, even for single pages.)

5: Could your GPU or CPU be overheating? (Rendering can be a bit stressfull. If you have finally reached "point break", the shut-down could be a precaution. Or, if your PSU is stressed-out, or getting ready to be retired.)

Optionally, I would check your windows error logs, focusing on the "errors", not the useless "warnings" or "information". Control-panel -> Administrator tools -> Event viewer -> Windows Logs -> (Various logs there)

Thanks. I'll go through the checklist tomorrow and see what I find.

Checking other logs and will run a heat monitor as I attempt to render it again with ONLY the figures and then ONLY with the background.
