i still found this plugin being advertised at front page of daz saying as daz to maya. my question is still havent answered in public but some offficial support would be nice. is this plugin working with maya 2019 and maya 2020 and being updated? i dont care much about posing i can pose in daz i just want to transfer the characters and items props and scene into maya with all the textures intact and renderable in arnold. is it  still possible for those who own it?

Just a guess, but you will probably have better luck finding out if the plugin works with Maya 2019/2020 by submitting a ticket to DAZ. DAZ staff seldom visit the forums and the mods are volunteers (I'm pretty sure none of the mods use Maya). You might have some luck posting your question in the Commons, since that is where people seem to visit the most. But I haven't seen any posts from any of the Maya users who have visited the forums for a while, so I really think your best bet would be to try a support ticket.

If all you want to do is render a already composed scene in Maya, you could either use FBX or Collada (I think FBX was the best for materials and Collada was best for the rig the last time I tried, but it was a couple of years ago and I know little to nothing about Maya). One of these methods should give you similar results to the plugins IIRC they don't try to translate any of the Iray shaders to Arnold, they are more focused on getting geometry, morphs, and a usable rig into Maya.

Another option would be to buy/try the plugin yourself, and if it doesn't work just ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase (DAZ has a very good refund policy).

hi @dustrider . sorry for the late reply, my notification saying 0 so i just checked manually and found your reply. yeah i was thinking to get daztomaya also but might wait for a more reasonable sale. i tried the fbx and collada thing, one of it transfered with textures but the eyes are all white with no iris. other textures seems ok.

No problem. I'm pretty sure the white eyes issue is just the cornea not being transparent/translucent (pretty common when exporting to a different software). You can use either a clear glass or water material on it, and adjust to your liking.
