Update the freaking daz

The latest nvidia driver is not working with daz when you have a rtx card, see here https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/363631/iray-crashes-frequently-after-nvidia-driver-update-441-12-with-2x-titan-rtx#latest
But I need the latest driver to play RDR2 so I always have to switch drivers weather I'm dazing or playing this game.
Why does it take so long for a multi million company?
Yes I already sent tickets, but no one replies there.
Update it !!!

What do you expect Daz Stusio to update?
Iray is developed by Nvidia, so it looks more for me as you should ask Nvidia to fix their stuff.
They need to implement the latest version of iray to daz
Have you tried the Beta?
It has a newer version of Iray.
I understand your frustration
I had a similar issue with first Octane render 4 then iClone and Nvidia driver compatibility
eventually Nvidia fixed both
the only lesson I learnt is save everything so you can roll back
I only wish DAZ would do what most software distributers do and keep legacy versions readily available for download because things happen
This![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
Have you tried unisntalling and reinstalling the driver, ideally using the DDU tool to make sure everything is removed/ Others eem to eb having success with the new drivers, just as soem are having problems as you are, so it seems there must be another variable involved.
Yes I tried that. It seems like only RTX card owners are having this problem. So far I haven't encountered someone with a RTX card that gets it running.
They have.
This has nothing to do with the OP's issue. The Op supposedly needs the latest Nvidia driver to play a game, but the latest driver present rendering issues for RTX cards. RTX owners that have rolled back drivers to earlier versions don't seem to have trouble rendering. Life is about choices.
Care to be a guineapig for a moment?
I know that you are die-hard on the whole RDR2 bonus driver update/fixes...
But... If you go to the drivers page, where you get the latest drivers, and select the [...] option a the top right. Can you try installing the 441.12 "NVIDIA Studio Drivers", instead of the "Game drivers", and see if this helps Daz, without killing RDR2?
There seems to be a lot better support for Optix-7 and other "Ray Traced" systems, which I assume is all IRAY core components, more than just the "Direct-X" and "OpenCL" stuff.
If that does nothing, you can at-least return to playing RDR2, until these issues are worked-out with Daz and IRAY, by using the other drivers again.
The pace of Iray updates is largely determined by nVidia - at least as far as the Public Builds are concerned.
The pace/timing of Iray updates is laregely dependent on nVidia, at least if using the DS Public Builds. There have been occasions when betas have been infrequent for a while, usually as Daz is working on something secret, but the last time that happened was (I think) when there was no support for the 10x0 series - and nVidia was being slow to release a final iray version that supported that (in fact, as I recall, there was a DS release with the Pascal-friendly version of Iray very soon after there was a stable build from nVidia).
2080Ti owner here... Same issue with Daz 4.12, rendering only uses CPU. I've just tried 4.12 Beta and it seems to be working fine though.
Edit: 4.12 also stopped working on my PC after installing the latest drivers released for RDR2.
I am curious if there is an option in the new RTX cards settings, which may be causing or could reduce the issue. (I know that NVIDIA likes to just turn "everything on, everywhere", but could there be a new setting, related to RTX, that could be turned-off for the Daz program? Again, a shot in the dark here, as I don't own an RTX and I can't honestly understand how a simple game-update driver could have such a big impact, for only RTX users.) {Though, I am not an RTX user. My Daz isn't working well either. However, I can get a few renders to run, before it crashes or just stops using any of the cards that I own.}
Though, if the studio driver isn't working too... That indicates an "Optix" update, which may be the actual beast in the shadows. (What I thought would originally be a "blessing", may be a "curse". :P )
If what I'm finding in a quick Google search is even remotely accurate, the current Beta version of DAZ Studio does in fact have the latest version of Iray included..
@boubakeurjohn "Edit: 4.12 also stopped working on my PC after installing the latest drivers released for RDR2."
Wouldn't be the first time Nvidia updated drivers to accomodate a specific game and caused issues with other apps. Wouldn't even be the decond time.
It's the promary reason I refuse to update any drivers or programs until they've been out for awhile, giving me time to research any issues they may have.
Grabbing a driver or update the day they are released has caused me far too many keyboard smashing days in the past.
Also the main reason I used different systems for gaming and rendering.
