Okay why was it taking me so long? I have 2080ti & i7 10 core processor 32G.. Just try to see what I may have missed? The scene was clear within minutes if you look closely on character skin there are these little lines that took a long time to clear..
Set it to memory instead of Speed?
What setting?
Same problem here since I've installed the last version of Daz in order to be able to use dforce hair... No more rendering :(
If the render looks done then stop it, Iray is not able to truly identify a finished scene so it uses an algorithm to guess.
Instance Optimisation in render Settings, I think.
What are your system specifications? Assumgn this is a Windows system with an Iray GPU what is your driver version? What were your settings for GPU/CPU in the Advanced tab of Render Settings?
So its just aimlessly running? The lines do smooth over time but sooo slow. The progress bar did show almost done within 15 minutes in the scene window. What is interesting is the same scene with more of a closeup took a fraction of the time.
I fond the mem setting! Its on Auto right now will experiment. Should I change the ray tracing low memory on using a 2080ti?
Probably not, although if you are running out of memory it may be worth a shot. However, it does give a slower render than the standard mode so if you don't need it it's better left to Auto/Off.
Kinda thought so. Switching from 1/4 to normal in the iray preview has resolved the not being to use the wheelmouse issue.
I was hoping someone could help me. I upgraded to 4.12 the other day and ever since I cannot render what so ever, in fact I can't even spot render, Daz just closes to desktop. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, didn't work, I have checked graphic card updates, they are fine. I tried to roll back but I cannot access the Daz download page for god knows what reason, I have put in a support ticket and had nothing back. I'm at a loss and very very frustrated, any help would be appreciated. I'm on windows 10 btw with Nvidia if that helps. Thank you in advance!
What is your driver version - right-click on the desktop>nVidia Control Panel, the number appears in the coloured box just above the card name(s)
I did as stated above and I get a the control panel except it has nothing to do with drivers from what I can tell, just screen and audio options.
Update: However I looked in the gforce experience app and the lastest one thats available that I installed is version 446.14
You're going to have give us details on the system and what ever info is in the log.
This is the case for every issue. To have a reasonable chance of helping most people we need to know"
GPU and driver version
CPU and RAM as well in many cases.
OS and version.
The log file from the error.
From there people can make a reasonable attempt at helping.
So sorry, my english is not so good, and i'm a complete dumb when it comes to technichal details :( I never change any setting when I want a render, only the size of the final picture. It always worked until i installed the latest version of Daz in order to use dforce hair.
That's Mac, not Windows. Although I think it should still be working in this version nVidia has marked CUDA support for macOS as deprecated, meaning it will go away and CPU will be the only option. In the meantime, you may want to post to https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/16599/the-mac-faq#latest
@Bobvan "What setting?"
In Render Settings>Optimization. See Attached.
Found it yesterday thanks & as I mentioned changing changing normal from 1/4 in draw settings, the iray preview resolves the blurry problem using mouse wheel to zoom in & out.
I am going to be expanding my system RAM from 32 to 64 this weekend.
NOTE: The latest Nvidia Driver (446.14) fixed my IRAY issues with my Nvidia Titan X !! DS now back in action.
Thank you.
