I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "installers". If, however, you are referring to the old Bitrock Installers (which were .exe files), dpc stood for the 3 apps that the product could be used in. IOW, DAZ|Studio, Poser, Carrara. The files with just ds in the name, means it's only for use in DAZ|Studio.

    Hope that helps.

It isn't always clear from the installer names whether DS users need both or just the DS installer -- generally, if the two installers are similar in size, you just need the DS one; if the DS one is much smaller, you need both.

The zip versions are labeled more clearly -- if it is labeled StudioCF (Companion File) then it requires the Poser version, if it just says DS then it is stand-alone.

both work in daz 4.6 ?

psd because it weighs less, weighs more ds

    I do not understand why

then the ds installer is useless or not?

If the DS is larger you only need the DS.

No they are not the same. The DS version will have textures designed to be used in DAZ Studio. The Poser only version will only have POSER content. When Items need both the DS version is often just the DAZ Studio textures that will be ready to render. Poser textures will need edited to look good when rendered in DAZ Studio most of the time. So you often need both files as noted above.
