Victoria 8 HD + Vertigo Ponytail -> 2 black spots on forehead.

Hi.

New user here. (Started a couple of days ago).

Bought the Vic 8 pro bundle and the HD pack.

I get black spots when rendering with the HD addon if the Ponytail is added. Without hair the forehead is fine.

I have tried:

  • Adding drawing dome.
  • Only adding the HD figure and hair, meaning no background, clothes, make up etc.

Without the HD addon things looks fine.

Please advise.

A render or screen grab of the viewport showing the issue would be helpful. It sounds like what is commonly referred to as "poke-through" where part of the hair is poking out of the forehead. Easily fixed if so - a picture is worth a thousand words.

It is the skull cap, they do that sometimes. Try hiding it or shrinking it a little.

I had a similar issue a while ago, but mine wasn't the skull cap. It was the "distance from 0" bug. (No idea if it's been fixed in 4.12. I was on 4.10 at the time.)

When my character was far away from 0,0,0 (like in the 200s or 300s), he'd get weird holes in his head...but only when hair was applied. Bald, he was fine.

So if the skullcap thing doens't fix it and Vicky isn't near 0,0,0, try moving her and see if that fixes the issue.

    Ty.

It got solved by changing Vertigo Ponytail->Actor->Adjust->Adjust Forehead In-Out.

Question. What did I actually change? The forehead of Victoria or the hair? Visually it looks like the hair, but the naming in the hiearchy make me think that is the actors forehead.

On a sidenote: I couldn't find skull cap or cap in the "Parameters", have I missed something?

Regarding moving stuff to Origio. Wouldnt that be a problem if you have multiple objects with the same problem?

Going by the sequence it was the hair that you sorted. The Adjust Forehead probably just resized the skull cap.
